Interested in starting Aikido? It's a big step in life, but we're here to make it easy.
Aikido at our dojo begins with 8 weeks of beginner classes that cost $100. Your first class is free.
Children's beginners classes are on Friday afternoons from 4:30pm to 5:45pm
Adult beginners meet on Saturdays from 9:45 - 10:45 and Tuesdays from 5:45 to 6:45pm.
The goal of our beginner course is to get your body moving and used to basic Aikido movements, including how to fall safely. Adults will learn the first six techniques that comprise your first belt exam, and the etiquette and vocabulary common to Aikido and Japanese martial arts. Children will explore the fascinating fun of Aikido, as well as the discipline any martial art imparts.
A great primer on our rank structure, dojo rules, and history of Aikido can be found here.

We know that the first step is the biggest. Come to our dojo and watch during any class, and then join us! We just ask that you sign up online and agree to the release waiver. Again, your first class is free.
The training uniform (keiko gi) is not required in the beginner class. Wear comfortable clothes such as a T shirt with yoga pants, sweats, or similar. If you have a plain white uniform from another art you are welcome to wear it. We stock most sizes of gi if you would like to purchase one, from adult size 6 to kids' 000.
We also invite you to check out our Facebook page where we keep our community up to date.
